Virat Kohli’s Former Restaurant Closes Amid Rent Dispute.

Virat Kohli is known to be one of the best businessmen and cricketer both. He earns a lot from the endorsements and matches, as the King invested the funds to introduce several companies. A company which he started was known as One8 Commune, which is a popular restaurant chain.

A few months after starting the same, he decided to withdraw his name from the company. And it happened due to the compliance issues, which started to grow to a great extent. Following this, Kohli withdrew his name from the company, leaving them without the person who started them. The reports said that Kohli withdrew his name due to the compliance issues and the notices he used to receive over fire safety violations from the restaurant.

Now, the One8 Commune restaurant, which is located near the Chinnaswamy Stadium, has been shut down. Reports claim that it happened mainly due to the legal issues, as the restaurant had a due of 2 crore rupees in rent.

Our Take

The case for One8 Commune has now gone legal with unpaid rent going above 2 crore rupees. While fans remember this restaurant as the one being owned by Virat Kohli, it should be noted that the King got his name removed from the same long time back. But it is true that Kohli also won't love watching his own restaurant being shut down due to the rent issues.
