Bengaluru Bulls faced Patna Pirates in PKL 12 Eliminator 2 without captain Yogesh Dahiya and raider Akash Shinde. Dahiya, who scored 51 tackle points in 19 games, missed out due to an injury sustained before the mini-qualifier, while Shinde, with 68 points from 15 matches, was absent for unclear reasons.

Getting the better of Bengaluru Bulls proved easier for Patna Pirates in Eliminator 2 of PKL Season 12 as the Bulls entered the contest weakened by the absence of their captain Yogesh Dahiya and key raider Akash Shinde. The crucial knockout clash took place at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi on October 27, 2025. Dahiya, the Bulls’ defensive leader with 51 tackle points from 19 matches this season, was ruled out due to an injury sustained before the previous game against the Telugu Titans.

Although the team had earlier expressed optimism about his recovery, coach BC Ramesh later revealed that Dahiya informed him of the injury only moments before that match during the warm-up. Meanwhile, Akash Shinde, who has been among the team’s most productive raiders with 68 points in 15 matches, including two Super 10s and one Super Raid, was left out of the starting seven.

The reason for his exclusion remains uncertain, possibly linked to fitness issues or inconsistent form. Patna Pirates, who entered the clash on the back of consecutive playoff wins against U Mumba and Jaipur Pink Panthers, capitalized on Bengaluru’s setbacks to extend their dominant run and move one step closer to the PKL 12 final.
