Dabang Delhi star Ashu Malik addressed the situation during a Media Day organised by JioStar, stating that he had no idea why Haryana players declined the handshake. “We went forward to shake hands, but they didn’t respond. It has been discussed online, but I believe it’s wrong. If one team comes forward, the other should respect that moment,” Malik said. He also added that for the next clash against Haryana on October 7, Delhi will focus on playing calmly and strategically, keeping aggression in check.

On the performance front, Malik has impressed this season by preparing for the opposition’s strategies and working on multiple skills including bonus, hand touches, and kicks. With nine wins in 10 matches and 18 points, Dabang Delhi currently leads the PKL 2025 points table, maintaining strong momentum as the league progresses.
