Nineteen-year-old Ayan Lochab emerged as the top raider of PKL 2025 with 316 raid points, guiding Patna Pirates from 12th place to the playoffs through a record eight-match winning streak. With six 20-plus point games, he joined legends like Pardeep Narwal, reflecting his fearless rise and determination to lead Patna’s remarkable comeback.

Going to the 2025 Pro Kabaddi League, few expected Patna Pirates to script one of the most dramatic comebacks in the tournament’s history. Struggling at 12th place midway through the season, the three-time champions found a saviour in 19-year-old raider Ayan Lochab from Haryana. Displaying maturity beyond his age, Ayan amassed 316 raid points to finish as the highest raider of PKL 2025, joining the elite ranks of Pardeep Narwal and Devank Dalal with six 20-plus point games in a single season.

His consistency and fearless approach helped Patna record an eight-match winning streak, the longest in league history, which propelled them into the playoffs. Though their fairytale run ended in Eliminator 3 against Telugu Titans, Lochab’s impact was undeniable. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Ayan credited the Pirates’ calm dressing-room atmosphere and improved defence for the turnaround, stressing that his mindset was simple, to secure points whenever the team needed them.

His standout moment came against Puneri Paltan early in the season, which boosted his confidence for the rest of the campaign. Looking ahead, the young sensation aims to perform even better next season, guide Patna to the final, and eventually represent India on the international stage.
