Navjot Singh Sidhu has responded to the viral statements which were claimed by a page. The page said that Sidhu made statements against Agarkar and Gambhir, to replace Rohit as the captain of the team. Amidst this, Sidhu responded to the statements, calling them fake.

Over the last few days, Navjot Singh Sidhu has been in the headlines. But it was because of the fake statements which a page claimed were spoken by him. This came with Sidhu talking against Gautam Gambhir and Ajit Agarkar, favouring Rohit Sharma

However, Navjot Singh Sidhu has reacted to the viral statements, as several fans also asked him whether he said it or not. He denied all the statements, and even talked about the X page, which made such false claims about him. This was a hilarious way for Sidhu to catch those who spread false information against him.

1. Viral Statements Claiming to be Said by Sidhu

India suffered a devastating loss against Australia in the first ODI. This was also the first ODI match for Shubman Gill as the skipper of the team. He had replaced Rohit Sharma as the new captain of the team across the format. But this decision was not welcomed by the majority of Indian cricket fans.

Most of them were Rohit fans, who went against the BCCI selectors and Shubman Gill. With India losing the first game against Australia, a Twitter page, Jod Insane, made a post about the statements made by Navjot Singh Sidhu. The post came immediately after India had lost the first ODI against Australia, under the captaincy of Shubman Gill.

According to the post, , “If India wants to win the 2027 World Cup, then BCCI should remove Gautam Gambhir and Ajit Agarkar as soon as possible, and hand over the captaincy to Rohit Sharma again with full respect.” Since several fans could have missed his commentary after the game, they assumed it to be true.

2. Navjot Singh Sidhu Replies to the Statements

With the statements being viral, it also caught the attention of Navjot Singh Sidhu. He immediately informed the fans that the statements claimed here were not even said by him. On his X account, he reposted the same tweet and added a caption of his own where he denied such statements to be made by him.

, Navjot Singh Sidhu also mentioned that he never imagined the BCCI removing Gautam Gambhir and Ajit Agarkar. This shows the level of respect he holds among his fellow cricketers and those who are a part of the BCCI. The statements which were claimed by the page to be said by Sidhu were immediately declared as fake.

Since there is no video for the same, it is clear to the fans also that the page made some false claims to spread false propaganda. But Navjot Singh Sidhu made sure that these statements didn't go viral. Looking at this, Twitter has also added the Misinformation tag on the post made by the Twitter page.
