Talking about the issues behind why he resigned, Flintoff blamed the new management. He said that money comes in as a crucial factor, and he is also being paid far less than the other coaches. Directly pointing out the poor management, Flintoff even said that he felt undervalued.
Ahead of the upcoming edition of the Hundred, the English Cricket Board announced staking for the teams. In this, various IPL franchises also participated, including the Sun Group, which has Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. The team was able to acquire a 100% stake in the Yorkshire-based team.
With this, that Northern Superchargers will be going through a name change before the next season. According to reports, the team is set to be renamed to Sunrisers Leeds for the upcoming season. However, it should also be noted that the name change has not been made official yet.
