Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli are known to be the most aggressive players in the history of the game. But, fans have noticed that there has been some sort of insecurity between them. While they did have a clash on the field, even the off-field actions show the same.

Ever heard of any Indian player being insecure around his own teammates? If yes, then it would have been either related to Gambhir and Dhoni or Gambhir and Kohli. Although Dhoni has maintained his calm and composure always,

Recently, the insecurities of Gautam Gambhir against Virat Kohli resurfaced on Twitter. In 2020, when the world was suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic, Gambhir was active on social media. He wished the Hitman, Rohit Sharma, a Happy Birthday from his Twitter account. It looked like a normal birthday wish, but Gambhir also mentioned him as the best ODI player in the world.

Let's take a look at how the strained relations between them were visible to the fans.

1. Gambhir Kohli IPL 2013 Clash

Until IPL 2013, fans were unaware of the fact that Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli had some insecurity between themselves. Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore had a face-off in the Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB was in a good position pursuing the overall score, which was left to be chased.

But soon enough, the team lost the wicket of Virat Kohli, who got out after scoring 35 runs. Gautam Gambhir was seen going past Virat Kohli towards his teammates. He said something to Kohli, which is still unknown to the fans. However, it is clear that it was outrageous, as Virat Kohli stopped on the crease.

He also started to go towards Gautam Gambhir, and the first altercation between these two players took place. Rajat Bhatia, a former KKR player, stepped in at the right time to separate the two Delhi boys from creating chaos in the middle of the game.

2. Gambhir Kohli IPL 2023 Clash

History was reenacted again between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir. This time, things were a bit different, though. Earlier, Gambhir was playing with KKR when he faced him the last time. However, in their battle at the IPL 2023 season, Gautam Gambhir was coaching the Lucknow SuperGiants.

All through the game, both sides sledged each other. Whether it was Kohli vs Naveen-ul-Haq or Siraj vs Amit Mishra. However, the situation got out of hand upon the conclusion of the game. To begin with, Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq shook hands aggressively, which was caught on camera.

Although Maxwell was able to separate both of them, things were far from over. After this, a player from LSG was having a chat with Virat Kohli. But Gautam Gambhir stepped in immediately and took his player away while he was talking to Virat Kohli. This might have triggered Virat to a great extent, as Gambhir's insecurity didn't even let him see his players talk to Virat.

Thus, an altercation took place between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir once again. And this time it was more heated than earlier. Even players from both sides were not able to separate these two from going against each other. However, the match referee and IPL officials responded well, by fining them with 100% of the match fees.
