Australia Women and Pakistan Women will take on each other in the ninth game of the ongoing Women’s World Cup 2025, at the R Premadasa in Colombo on October 8, Wednesday. The Aussie women will aim to continue their winning run in the tournament with a win against Pakistan Women.

Australia Women have been in a decent run of form, with three wins and a defeat, alongside an abandoned game in their last five Women’s ODIs. Their previous game against Sri Lanka Women was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain. Before that, they registered an 89-run win against NZ Women in their campaign openers in the ongoing World Cup. Before that, they defeated the India Women by 43 runs and secured a 2-1 win in the three-match ODI series. So, they will aim to continue their brilliant form in this game against Pakistan Women to secure their second success in the tournament.

Speaking of Pakistan Women, they have been through a miserable run of form in their last five Women’s ODIs, with four defeats and only one win in their last five games. In the current Women’s World Cup edition, they are coming off two successive defeats, including the 88-run defeat against India Women, following a 7-wicket defeat against Bangladesh Women in their campaign opener. They will be eyeing a comeback in the tournament with a win against the Australia Women in this game.
