Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings have more twists in their trade deal than any blockbuster movie. Just a few hours ago, fans got to know about an obstacle which both teams have encountered in this trade deal. Rajasthan Royals is having their foreign players quota full, due to which the deal is not yet.

But there is another twist which has been added to this story. And this time it is Ravindra Jadeja who has brought down the twist. With Jadeja almost making a comeback to his previous IPL team, the question comes at the role which this obstacle will be playing in the trade deal involving Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja.

1. Jadeja's Terms and Conditions

Just when the trade deal between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals was almost done, Jadeja decided to step in. As the deal involved him, it was also necessary for him to talk about the same. But Jadeja seems to have utilised this opportunity to its fullest, following his latest to the RR team.

As per the reports, Ravindra Jadeja has asked the Rajasthan Royals management for captaincy. Being new to the team, his demands come at a time when the trade deal is yet not confirmed. But, considering his role in the same, it is a demand which Royals would also be looking at, before making a decision.

Rajasthan Royals are about to go to the next IPL season without a captain. They had Sanju Samson as their skipper, but he is currently involved in a trade deal. And if this trade deal gets confirmed, Samson will be a part of Chennai Super Kings, leaving his previous team

The reports also say that Jadeja wants his final years in the IPL to be filled with responsibility and leadership. If the trade deal gets confirmed, Rajasthan Royals will have another option in the list of players as their captain.

2. RR’s Captaincy Saga

Rajasthan Royals has been facing issues with its captaincy for a long time. Sanju Samson was the skipper of the team for the IPL 2025 season. But unfortunately, his campaign got affected due to the injuries, putting Riyan Parag as the captain of the team in his place. At the same time, issues started to develop between Rajasthan and Sanju Samson.

Eventually, it was also seen by the fans as in a match, Samson was sidelined from the team discussions headed by Rahul Dravid.
