Despite not being a part of the trade window as of now, the youngster has made it to the headlines. With the calls being repeated for months, he decided to take legal action against the one who has been calling him up all this time. Thus, he has filed an FIR with the police regarding this matter.

1. Vipraj Nigam Receives Death Threats

Vipraj Nigam, the Delhi Capitals bowler, is having a tough time lately. He has been receiving calls from international numbers, and the caller is giving him death threats. Recently, he has filed a complaint regarding this matter with the police. He said that a woman calls her from an international number and gave death threats.

In the calls, she reportedly blackmails the young cricketer and makes repeated demands. With the calls coming to him for almost two months, Vipraj Nigam decided that it is high time to take action. It is also being said that the caller has threatened to leak a video of her demands not being by Vipraj Nigam.

This has surely put the young cricketer in a challenging position. For this, he has now received the support from the police who are likely to track down the number and the woman who has been calling him all this time. This matter has been going on for the last few months, but Vipraj decided to speak about it in November.

He said, “Initially, the calls were made from a mobile number, but after I blocked it, the same person began using several foreign numbers to harass me.” The calls were being made to him since September 2025, and despite Vipraj blocking the number, he faced continuous harassment from the same.

On Saturday, this case was registered by Vipraj Nigam at Kotwali Police Station. According to the complaint, the woman on the call has threatened Vipraj Nigam to leak his fake videos on social media or even file fake criminal cases against him if his demands are not fulfilled. It is clear that her motive is to damage

With this, an FIR has been filed under BNS sections 351(3) for criminal intimidation and 352 for insult and provocation of breach of peace. An accused has also been identified as Richa Purohit. But it should be noted that the authorities are still working to identify the case, and also verify the legitimacy of the threats received by the cricketer.
