English all-rounder Chris Jordan has joined the Caribbean Premier League and will be representing Trinbago Knight Riders. The 35-year-old played five matches for the TKR squad in 2019, taking seven wickets with an economy rate of 9.05, and will now step in for Ali Khan in the squad.

‌Chris Jordan is set to team up with the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) for the rest of the Carribean Premier League at their home ground. The Knight Riders have six matches remaining in the group stage of the tournament. The Knight Riders hold the fourth position on the points standings, having secured victory in three out of four games. Before their home leg starts on September 19, Jordan's participation will increase their confidence and provide more experience to their bowling team. In 2024, he took part in seven T20 matches for England, achieving 12 wickets with an economy rate of 9.07.

Ali Khan's withdrawal from the tournament due to injury led to Jordan being added to the squad. Khan, a bowler known for his speed, has not participated in the current year's tournament. The Barbados-born has been performing well in his recent T20 matches and is particularly known for being the first England men's player to achieve a T20I hat-trick in a T20 World Cup match against the USA.

TKR's upcoming game is against the defending champions Guyana Amazon Warriors at the Queen's Park Oval in St Clair, scheduled for September 19. Meanwhile, Amazon Warriors have brought on leg spinner Nathan Sowter as a replacement for Imran Tahir. The 45-year-old is in the process of healing from his injury and is anticipated to be out of play for the next ten days.
