Getting the spotlight after Puneri Paltan’s 13th win in PKL 12, the team secured a commanding 24-point victory over Jaipur Pink Panthers, solidifying their position at the top of the points table with 26 points. Puneri Paltan’s balanced performance saw Gaurav Khatri and Vaibhav Rabade combine for 13 tackle points, while Pankaj Mohite contributed nine raid points to guide the team. Head coach Ajay Thakur credited the win to a pressure-free mindset, highlighting the impact of Milad, the Iranian player, and debutant Vaibhav, who scored six points, giving the team depth at left cover.

Thakur emphasized the squad’s strength, stating that bench players like Vaibhav and Amaan could step in seamlessly if first-choice players like Gurdeep or Vishal were unavailable. For Jaipur Pink Panthers, head coach Narender Redhu admitted defensive mistakes and acknowledged the absence of Nitin Dhankhar due to injury, which weakened both defense and raid departments.

On Nitin Rawal’s absence from the starting seven, Redhu explained that Aryan was being tried according to the team’s plan, but Rawal would play when needed. Looking ahead to their next match against UP Yoddhas, Redhu stressed the importance of a complete strategy, noting the opponent’s strong performance with seven tackles from Hitesh and experienced corners. Puneri Paltan and Dabang Delhi are currently the only teams to have secured spots in the top four of PKL 12.
