An individual was impersonating Adam Zampa as he tried to get contacts of Indian players from Ravichandran Ashwin. While Ashwin was able to get rid of them with ease, he also showcased it to the fans on social media handles for some shared laughter.
1. Ashwin’s Zampa Story
Ravichandran Ashwin and Adam Zampa have played a lot of cricket against each other. Both of them must have each other's contact numbers saved. But yesterday, Ashwin posted a screen recording on his social media handles, which made the fans laugh.
Someone claiming to be Adam Zampa had contacted him on WhatsApp. He claimed that he lost the original number, and in his new SIM, he doesn't have the contact of several players. Fake Zampa also named the players , such as Abhishek Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Jitesh Sharma, Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh, and Shivam Dube.
It can be seen that Ashwin first ignored the message but then responded when the latter called. Ashwin confirmed whether he wants the contacts of these players only or anyone else too. To this, Fake Zampa replied that he only requires the details of these players.
However, Ashwin was two steps ahead in this case. He asked him to give the contact number of MS Dhoni, seemingly saying that he had lost it. When Fake Zampa sent the same, the contact was saved as ‘MS Dhoni Indian cricketer.’Ashwin knew it was a scammer from the beginning, and in the end, that he would be making an Excel sheet for the same.
While he waited for the Excel sheet to arrive, Ashwin posted a screen recording of the chats on his social media handles. All of his fans burst out in laughter, watching the Fake Zampa trying to get contacts. Another thing which fans noticed was the fact that the number of Fake Zampa was from the UAE. If it had been from Australia, there were chances he could have tricked Ashwin.
2. Ashwin's Entry in BBL
Ravichandran Ashwin has marked his entry to the Australian T20, Big Bash League. He will be the first Indian to play in the league, and has shown a lot of interest in the same earlier also. Fans are also excited to watch him play for the Sydney Thunder , which will start from 14 December.
