ICC ODI Rankings | Rashid Khan and Azmatullah Omarzai on top of bowlers’ and all-rounders’ list as per latest rankings

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan rose to the top of the ODI bowlers’ rankings as per the ICC’s latest list. His teammates Ibrahim Zadran and Azmatullah Omarzai were second and first, respectively, in the batters’ and all-rounders’ list after good outings against Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi.

The leg-spinner was the top wicket-taker in the three-match duel against the Tigers, with 11 scalps, including a fifer, at an astonishing average of 6.09 and a strike rate of 13.36. Rashid jumped five places to go top of the list on the back of his impressive performance with the ball.
Meanwhile, his teammate Ibrahim Zadran gained eight places to be second in the list of ODI batters. He is placed between the Indian duo of Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma, who are first and third, respectively.
The Afghanistan opener hit two fifties in three innings to amass 213 runs, the most by a batter in the series, at an average of 71.00. He was also adjudged the Player of the Series for his exploits with the bat, which also helped him become the highest-ranked Afghan batter of all-time.
Meanwhile, Azmatullah Omarzai overtook Zimbabwe’s Sikander Raza to become the top all-rounder in the 50-over format. The Gujarat Titans all-rounder also had a good series against Bangladesh with seven wickets from three games at an average of 12.42 and a strike rate of 18.85, and also scoring 60 runs.
The Indian duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yashasvi Jaiswal were also rewarded for their excellent showing against the West Indies in the two-Test series. The left-arm wrist spinner rose to a career-best 14th in the bowlers’ rankings after picking up 12 wickets, while the Indian opener broke into the top five, at fifth, after his big hundred in the second Test in Delhi.
