Rinku Singh could be having a challenging period these days regarding his safety. According to reports, the Indian cricketer received extortion threats for 5 crore rupees over the past few days. And these threats reportedly came from Dawood Ibrahim's gang.
to fear the threats, since the Mumbai Police took up immediate action in the direction of the same. The Mumbai Crime Branch has managed to detain the two who were involved in transferring ransom threats to Rinku Singh.
1. Rinku Gets Ransom Threats
Over the past few months, Rinku Singh has been targeted by the members of Dawood Ibrahim's gang. The reports have claimed that Rinku Singh received extortion threats from people who claimed to be a part of Ibrahim's gang. Taking a look at the seriousness of this situation, the police and crime branch decided to step in.
It was also discovered that the promotional team of Rinku Singh was called upon three times to make extortion requests. These were in February 2025 to April 2025, and in these calls, the callers were demanding a ransom payment of 5 crore rupees. The Mumbai Crime Branch
The Crime Branch could now finally detain those who were involved in the same, Mohammed Naveed and Mohammed Dilshad. They were both taken back to India from Trinidad & Tobago, which assisted the Mumbai Crime Branch in arresting them on time.
Similar to Rinku Singh, he also received a ransom threat of 10 crore rupees from Dawood Ibrahim's gang. Aaj Tak has also reported that Naushad, one of the accused in Rinku's case, emailed his event manager claiming that he is a member of the D-Company. For those who are unaware, D-Company is being run by Dawood Ibrahim.
2. Rinku Singh in International
Making his international debut in 2023, Rinku Singh has been an integral part of the Indian team in the T20I format. Being a middle-order batsman, he is able to maintain the run rate towards the death overs. The main turning point of Rinku Singh came in IPL 2023, when he smashed five sixes to Yash Dayal.
