Yashasvi Jaiswal has given a strong statement to the South African team ahead of the Test series. The Indian youngster marked his return to the Ranji Trophy just before the Test series. And showcasing his form, he ended up smashing a ton on his comeback.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has given a strong statement to the South African team ahead of the Test series. The Indian youngster marked his return to the Ranji Trophy just before the Test series. And showcasing his form, he ended up smashing a ton on his comeback.

Yashasvi Jaiswal seems to be ready for the South African challenge. After performing well for the team against the West Indies and England, he is all set for the Tests against South Africa, which will start from 14 November. To prepare himself for the Tests, he decided to mark his to the Ranji Trophy and play for Mumbai.

Holding the opening spot for the Indian team, fans have been delighted to watch his knock. He was able to score 156 runs on his comeback to the Ranji Trophy, which helped Mumbai to get an upper hand in the game. This shows that Jaiswal is now ready to dominate in the home tests, which will be played against the World Test Champions, South Africa.

1. Jaiswal’s Ranji Trophy Return

For the match between Mumbai and Rajasthan, Yashasvi Jaiswal returned to play for the team. He opened the innings alongside Musheer Khan and decided to dominate from the first innings. With Mumbai batting first, Yashasvi Jaiswal was able to score 67 runs off 97 balls, which Mumbai to reach the total of 254 runs.

When Rajasthan stepped out to bat, the team was able to dominate over Mumbai's bowling line-up. A large crowd had already gathered across all the match days to watch Yashasvi Jaiswal play for Mumbai. With Mumbai's bowlers having a bad day, Deepak Hooda, along with Rajasthan, was able to take the upper hand.

Deepak Hooda scored 248 runs off 332 balls, as Karthik Sharma also smashed a century. By the end of their innings, the team was able to score 617 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Upon their declaration, Mumbai came to bat, and Yashasvi Jaiswal to take the center stage once again.

In the second innings, he went on to smash the bowlers in typical Jaiswal style. Eventually, he ended up scoring 156 runs off 174 balls, which helped Mumbai to reach a decent total. Jaiswal lost his wicket to Ajay Singh, but his innings helped Mumbai to take the match to a draw.

2. Jaiswal's Test Career

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been impressive in his Test career. Whether he plays in India or in SENA countries, he is able to smash tons with ease. This has been one of the major reasons why India has a strong opening duo, with Jaiswal and KL Rahul to open for the team. Earlier, he opened with Rohit Sharma, and both gave an aggressive start to the Indian team.
