New Delhi Tigers will take on the North Delhi Strikers in the 26th fixture of the ongoing Delhi Premier League 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. It will be a must-win game for the Tigers, as they are currently placed at the bottom of the tournament standings, with five straight defeats.

The ‘struggling’ and ‘down and out’ New Delhi Tigers will face the North Delhi Strikers in the next game of their campaign in the tournament’s current edition. The Tigers started their DPL 2025 journey on a winning note before they endured a horrific run, losing five games in a row. After a 40-run win against Outer Delhi Warriors, they lost to the Central Delhi Kings by a huge margin of nine wickets, followed by a seven-wicket defeat against the East Delhi Riders. In their further matches, the Tigers lost to Purani Delhi by 6 by 10 runs before a three-wicket defeat against the South Delhi Superstarz. In their recent game against the West Delhi Lions, Himmat Singh’s men lost by 15 runs in a rain-affected game. They will aim to register their second win in this tournament and end their losing streak with a success against the North Delhi Strikers.

On the other hand, the North Delhi Strikers have been through a decent run, with three consecutive wins except for the defeats in their campaign opener and the previous game. The Strikers’ campaign started with a huge eight-wicket defeat against the table toppers, Central Delhi Kings. Following this defeat, Harshit Rana’s men registered three consecutive wins in their next three games before losing to the Kings by 15 runs in a 16-over game due to rain. Now, they will be eyeing winning this game and moving to the third spot in the tournament’s points table.

Form Guide

NDT:  L L L L L

The New Delhi Tigers have been through a miserable run of form in the ongoing Delhi Premier League 2025, facing five consecutive defeats in their last five games. They registered only one win, and that came in their first game against the Outer Delhi Warriors.

NDS:  L W W W L

North Delhi Strikers have enjoyed a good journey in the tournament's second edition so far; their campaign started with a defeat against the Central Delhi Kings, followed by three consecutive wins. After facing another defeat against the Kings, the Strikers will be eyeing getting back to winning ways.

NDT vs NDS Head-to-Head in T20S

The New Delhi Tigers and the North Delhi Strikers haven’t faced each other so far in the Delhi Premier League, as it is the first appearance of the Tigers in the tournament. So, both teams will aim to get a lead of 1-0 in this head-to-head rivalry.

Pitch and Weather

The surface at the Arun Jaitley Stadium is a typical flat surface known for favouring the batters, especially in the second half of the game. The chasing side has been more successful at this track in the tournament’s current edition so far. So, the toss-winning skipper might think to bat first, considering the chase-friendly conditions.

The weather in Delhi on Monday will be partly cloudy, with the temperatures hovering around 32 degrees Celsius. The dew factor might also come into the picture as the game progresses to the second innings.

Team News

After a string of defeats, the New Delhi Tigers might look forward to making a change or two in their playing XI for this game.

On the other hand, the North Delhi Strikers are expected to go ahead with the unchanged playing XI for this game against the New Delhi Tigers. The chances of any change in their playing XI are highly unlikely, considering their recent performances in their five games so far.
