At the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, the Gujarat Giants secured a crucial 42-35 victory over the Tamil Thalaivas on Wednesday, moving up to seventh place and into a Playoff spot. Himanshu Singh led the way with a Super 10, while the Giants’ defenders delivered key tackles that turned the game in their favour. The Giants started strongly, opening the scoring through a tackle by Shadloui and an early raid from Himanshu Singh.

Despite Arjun Deshwal giving the Thalaivas their first point, Gujarat quickly established a 7-3 lead and forced the first ALL OUT of the match, extending the advantage to 14-6. The Giants continued their dominance, reaching 19-6 before the first Strategic Time Out. The Thalaivas responded with a Super Tackle, narrowing it to 19-9, but the Giants regained control and inflicted a second ALL OUT, pushing the score to 24-10.

Himanshu Singh completed his Super 10, and Gujarat went into halftime 27-14 ahead. In the second half, the Giants maintained pressure, leading 35-22 by the next Strategic Time Out. The Thalaivas made a late surge with Moein Shafaghi’s Super Raid and an ALL OUT, reducing the gap to 38-31, but Gujarat held firm, finishing the match 42-35 and claiming a vital win.
