UP Yoddhas secured their second consecutive win, defeating Tamil Thalaivas 32-21 at Delhi’s Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium. Guman Singh scored eight points and Gagan Gowda six, driving a strong raiding performance. As the UP Yoddhas faced Tamil Thalaivas at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi, the match unfolded as a thrilling contest of raiding and defence. The Yoddhas relied heavily on the duo of Guman Singh and Gagan Gowda, who scored eight and six points respectively, to secure a second consecutive win, moving them to eighth on the points table. The early stages saw both teams struggle with empty raids, but Gagan Gowda struck first with a successful Do-Or-Die raid on Nitesh Kumar, giving UP an initial boost.
Tamil Thalaivas responded through Arjun Deshwal’s precise raids and Sagar Rathee’s strong defending, earning tackle points and even causing an ALL OUT. UP Yoddhas’ defence, led by Mahender Singh and Hitesh, countered effectively, with Hitesh’s High Five nullifying Sagar Rathee’s impact.
Gagan Gowda and Bhavani Rajput kept the raids productive, while Guman Singh found his rhythm in the second half with key double-point raids. Despite Tamil’s efforts, including Narender Kandola and Moein Shafaghi’s late raids, the Yoddhas maintained composure. In a thrilling finish, UP Yoddhas overcame a halftime deficit of 14-17 to clinch a 32-31 victory, demonstrating strong teamwork and tactical acumen in both raiding and defence.
