Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 will be remembered for Dabang Delhi’s 31-28 triumph over Puneri Paltan, Fazel Atrachali’s MVP heroics, and a thrilling new format with 108 matches and Play-Ins. The season showcased fierce competition, tie-breaker finishes, tactical depth over star power, breakout performers, and controversies that kept fans talking till the final whistle.
Getting the curtain down on a gripping Pro Kabaddi League Season 12, Dabang Delhi emerged champions after edging Puneri Paltan 31-28 in a tense final at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium, clinching their second title and becoming the first home side since U Mumba in Season 2 to lift the trophy in front of their supporters. The season, featuring 108 matches and a new playoff format for the top eight teams, ensured every contest had a result with no draws allowed.
Delhi’s triumph was built on collective effort, led by captain Ashu Malik’s composure and veteran Fazel Atrachali’s defensive brilliance. Fazel, who was named MVP, captured his third PKL title and recorded over 50 tackle points for the ninth consecutive season. For Puneri Paltan, led by Aslam Inamdar and coached by Ajay Thakur, it was heartbreak despite finishing atop the league table.
The season saw individual brilliance too, Patna Pirates’ Ayan Lohchab scored 316 raid points to join the elite 300-club, while Devank Dalal followed with 271. Emerging stars like Aditya Shinde and Alireza Mirzaian shone brightly. However, controversies involving player suspensions, internal disputes, and refereeing errors added drama to an otherwise fiercely competitive and tactically advanced season.
