After the Jaipur Pink Panthers’ special Media Day in Dehradun, head coach Narender Redhu expressed confidence in his team’s readiness for Pro Kabaddi League Season 12, beginning on August 29. Redhu highlighted the intensive training camp that focused on fitness, endurance, speed, strength, and mat skills. He noted that the players have entered the competition phase well-prepared both physically and mentally.
The coach pointed out a few standout performers, including Uday Parthe, Nitin Kumar Dhankar, who will lead the raiding department, and Iranian recruit Ali Samadi. He believes the mix of fresh talent and experience will strengthen the team’s overall combination this season. Speaking about his role, Redhu said coaching is more about guidance than pressure. He emphasized keeping young players relaxed so they can express themselves freely on the mat. According to him, preparation goes beyond training, with video sessions helping players study rival strategies.
Redhu also praised PKL’s impact on the sport, stating it has elevated kabaddi from village fields to a national platform. The league has given players identity, recognition, and financial stability, inspiring the next generation to follow stars like Arjun Deshwal and Pawan Sehrawat. Such growth, he added, has even made village elders eagerly anticipate the new season.
