Pro Kabaddi League Season 3 in January 2016

The third season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) will kick start in January next year with a total of 138 players playing for 8 teams. From 2016, PKL will have two seasons a year- the second as usual in July.

The third season will see a host of players changing teams. Last year’s Most Valuable Player of the Tournament Manjit Chillar will be moving to Puneri Paltans from Bengaluru Bulls, reported the PTI.

Other players like Ajay Thakur, Rakesh Kumar, Deepak Hudda, Jasmer Singh, Surjeet Narwal, Dharmaraj Cheralathan, Wassim Sajjad, Rajaguru Subramanain also have changed teams from the previous season. 

Teams have also retained star players like Anup Kumar (U Mumba), Kashiling Adake (Dabang Delhi), Ravinder Pahal (Dabang Delhi), Rahul Chaudhari (Telugu Titans), Sukesh Hegde (Telugu Titans), Jan Kun Lee (Bengal Warriors), Sandeep Narwal (Patna Pirates) and Korean Tae Deok Eom (Patna Pirates).

The international draft for season 3 will also feature 24 international players from 12 countries.

The inaugural edition of the tournament was played in 2014 and was won by Jaipur Pink Panthers. The 2015 edition played in July last year was won by U Mumba.
