Arsenal are reportedly ready to sell Gabriel Jesus in the upcoming January window. The 28-year-old striker, sidelined since a serious knee injury against Manchester United, faces competition from Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz. Despite interest from Brazilian clubs like Palmeiras and Flamengo, Jesus is keen to remain in Europe. Arsenal, who paid around £45 million for him in 2022, are open to a transfer.

For the upcoming January transfer window, Gabriel Jesus’s future at Arsenal seems set for change. The 28-year-old striker, who joined the Gunners from Manchester City in 2022 for around £45 million, has been sidelined since suffering a serious knee injury against Manchester United earlier this year. Despite sharing updates on his rehabilitation, Arsenal appear ready to move him on Arsenal’s recent acquisitions, including Viktor Gyokeres and the continued presence of Kai Havertz, have influenced the decision to consider a sale.

Reports from ESPN Brazil suggest Jesus is more inclined to remain in Europe rather than return to Brazil, although Flamengo and Palmeiras have expressed interest. Palmeiras president Leila Pereira has indicated that Jesus may return to his former club one day, but the timing is not right currently.

Both Mikel Arteta and Arsenal have informed Jesus’s representatives that a transfer is a real possibility in the next window. With several years still left at the top level, the club hopes to secure a reasonable fee for him. As Arsenal plan for the future, the winter window could see Gabriel Jesus exit the Emirates Stadium, opening space for Gyokeres or other options to take a more central role in the team.
