Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Nottingham Forest centre-back Murillo, valued around £48million. The 23-year-old Brazilian, Forest’s Player of the Season, has made 80 appearances since joining from Corinthians in 2023. Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also tracking him. Murillo’s contract runs until 2029, and he has previously expressed a desire to play Champions League football.

For the upcoming transfer window, Chelsea are reportedly targeting Nottingham Forest defender Murillo, with a potential bid estimated at £48million. The 23-year-old Brazilian joined Forest from Corinthians in 2023 for around £15million and has since made 80 appearances across all competitions. His impressive performances earned him Forest’s Player of the Season award and established a strong partnership with Nikola Milenkovic under manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Despite Forest’s difficult start to the current season, Murillo remains one of the most highly rated young centre-backs in English football. Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested, keeping him on their radar as they seek a potential replacement for Dayot Upamecano. Real Madrid previously made an unsuccessful approach last January. Murillo is contracted to Forest until 2029 and has expressed ambitions of playing in the Champions League and winning major trophies.

Chelsea had focused on strengthening their attack during the last transfer window, signing players like Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, and Alejandro Garnacho. Jorrel Hato was their only defensive signing, costing £35.5million from Ajax. Murillo will have the opportunity to impress further when Forest face Chelsea in the Premier League in eight days, amid growing interest from Europe’s top clubs.
