After the latest interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored, Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that his illustrious football career is nearing its end. The 40-year-old Al Nassr and Portugal star, who has scored an incredible 952 career goals, admitted that retirement will come “soon” and described the decision as “very difficult.” Ronaldo said he has been preparing for life after football since his mid-twenties and expects an emotional farewell when the moment arrives.

Currently playing in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo has continued his prolific form with 102 goals in 115 appearances for Al Nassr. Reflecting on his career and his former club Manchester United, he expressed both affection and concern. Speaking about United’s progress under new manager Ruben Amorim, Ronaldo praised his ex-Portugal teammate’s efforts but stated that “miracles are impossible” and that the club needs broader changes beyond coaching. He emphasized that Manchester United “is still in my heart,” though he believes the team has lost its true identity.

Despite United’s recent unbeaten run of four league games, they remain eighth in the Premier League, eight points behind leaders Arsenal. Ronaldo’s comments mark one of the clearest indications yet that football may soon bid farewell to one of its greatest icons.
