Alisson Becker confirmed his commitment to Liverpool despite Saudi interest, choosing to stay through his contract until at least 2027. The 32-year-old played 28 league matches, keeping 9 clean sheets and overcoming injury setbacks. His Champions League heroics, especially against PSG, and key league contributions helped Liverpool secure their 20th Premier League title.

After the 2024–25 season, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker reaffirmed his loyalty and value to the club following speculation about a potential move to Saudi Arabia. Despite expressing openness to big offers, Alisson made it clear in August that he never truly considered leaving Anfield, citing his commitment to the club with two years left on his contract plus a one-year option.

The Brazilian’s decision proved critical as he played a key role in helping Liverpool secure their 20th league title, equalling Manchester United’s all-time record. Although he missed 10 Premier League games due to injury—including a serious hamstring issue in October—he remained a cornerstone of Liverpool’s defense.

Alisson delivered nine clean sheets in 28 Premier League appearances, contributing significantly to the Reds’ solid defensive record—second only to Arsenal. His return in December, during a Champions League clash against Girona, marked a high point, but his standout moment came in the round of 16 against PSG. In that first-leg encounter in France, Alisson produced what many consider one of the greatest goalkeeping performances in Liverpool history.

Now 32, and fully backed by new head coach Arne Slot, Alisson remains Liverpool’s undisputed first-choice goalkeeper heading into the next season.
