Giving the perfect end to their pre-season, Juventus defeated Atalanta 2-1 in Bergamo to lift the 2025 Bortolotti Trophy. After a balanced first half that ended goalless, with Di Gregorio and Carnesecchi making crucial saves at either end, the game came alive in the second half. The breakthrough arrived in the 73rd minute when Jonathan David marked his first goal for Juventus in stunning fashion.

The Canadian forward reacted swiftly to an aerial ball and produced a brilliant bicycle kick inside the box, giving the Bianconeri the lead. Just four minutes later, substitute Dusan Vlahovic extended the advantage. The Serbian striker, set up by Joao Mario, finished calmly past Carnesecchi for his third goal of the pre-season. Atalanta, however, did not go down without a fight. In the 90th minute, substitute Lazar Samardzic pulled one back for the home side to make it 2-1.

Despite the late pressure, Tudor’s men managed stoppage time with composure and sealed the win. For Juventus, this victory followed their success against Borussia Dortmund and provided a boost ahead of the new season. David’s first goal, Vlahovic’s sharp form, and a solid defensive showing ensured a memorable finish to their preparations.
