Erling Haaland has reverted to his early Borussia Dortmund-era centre-parting hairstyle as Manchester City prepare to face Wolves in their Premier League opener. After scoring 22 goals in 31 games last season, seven behind Mohamed Salah due to injury setbacks, the 25-year-old is eager to regain top form following a strong summer for City.

Coming to the start of the 2025-26 Premier League season, Erling Haaland has unveiled a fresh yet familiar look, reverting to his old centre-parting hairstyle from his Borussia Dortmund days. The Manchester City striker, who had previously grown his hair longer and worn it in a bun since joining the club, showcased the style during a training session as Pep Guardiola’s side prepared to face Wolves on Saturday at Molineux.

Haaland is aiming for a strong comeback after an injury-hit 2024-25 campaign, where an ankle issue sidelined him for a significant period. Despite limited appearances, he still managed 22 goals in 31 matches across competitions, finishing third in the Premier League Golden Boot race, seven goals behind winner Mohamed Salah. This marked a drop from his first two seasons at City, in which he claimed back-to-back Golden Boots.

The Norwegian striker, who turned 25 last month, also recently made a lighthearted reference to critics of his hair by posting a birthday photo with his hair down. With Manchester City enjoying a productive summer transfer window and seeking to recapture their best form, Haaland’s fitness and renewed energy will be central to their ambitions as they begin the new campaign against Wolves.
