Everton have submitted a third bid worth around £40m for Southampton’s Tyler Dibling after previous offers of £27m and £35m were rejected. Talks have also begun with Chelsea for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who made just two Premier League starts last season. Chelsea want to recoup the £30m they paid for him from Leicester.

Coming to the latest developments at Goodison Park, Everton have stepped up their transfer activity by submitting a third bid worth around £40 million, including add-ons, for Southampton’s 19-year-old winger Tyler Dibling. The previous offers of £27 million and £35 million were turned down, but the club remains hopeful, although Southampton are still holding out for closer to £50 million and believe other clubs may soon enter the race.

In addition, Everton has initiated talks with Chelsea over a move for midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The 26-year-old joined Chelsea from Leicester for £30 million last season but made just two Premier League starts and was more involved in their Conference League campaign. Chelsea is open to a sale and wants to recover the amount they invested. Everton’s summer has seen mixed fortunes in the market.

They’ve already signed Carlos Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, goalkeeper Mark Travers, and young left-back Adam Aznou, but have also lost 11 players, including nine from the first-team squad. Having missed out on wingers like Francisco Conceição and Johan Bakayoko, and with Lyon’s Malick Fofana preferring a Champions League club, manager David Moyes is under pressure to bolster both wings and midfield before the window closes.
