But there is another news which the RCB fans may not like to hear. Nuwan Thushara, the Sri Lankan pacer, has not been granted permission by the Sri Lankan Cricket Board to join the team for the upcoming season. This comes as a major setback for the team in the start of the tournament.
While Josh Hazlewood will be joining the team today, he still won't be available to play for them in the first few games. It was expected that Nuwan Thushara will be there for the team as an overseas bowler in place of Josh Hazlewood, but that is also not possible this time.
