Royal Challengers Bengaluru Issues Key Information for Chinnaswamy Games

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will return to the Chinnaswamy Stadium for the IPL 2026. Even after a deadly stampede in 2025, the stadium has now received clearance to host the IPL games. To ensure things go as planned, RCB has also released key information for matches at the home ground.

The IPL 2026 edition is all set to commence on 28 March, with the first game being at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the defending champions, will be going against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Informing about the Phase 1 ticket booking, the team posted some important information .

Fans can book tickets for the RCB home games via the official RCB website and mobile app only. The phase 1 of ticket booking will be announced soon by the team. Moreover, the team has brought a new initiative, as the ticket holders can also avail free metro rides to arrive at the stadium. The metro ticket will also be given to the fans along with the match ticket, which can be used at the metro gate.

Since the stampede was caused due to improper exit and entry gate announcement, the team has made things clear this time. Fans will be able to see the outer and inner gates for their entry and exit to the stadium. Moreover, the entry for spectators will only be done by Cubbon and Link Road.

It comes as a big positive for the RCB fans, as the team takes initiatives to make the match experience smooth and better. Moreover, the stadium is having some upgrades done which will further help in crowd management. The team has done well to ensure that such incidents won't happen in the near future.

There are two games to be played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in the first 20 matches of the IPL. One will be the season opener between RCB and SRH. The other will be the clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings, which will take place on 12 April.
