Sajana Sajeevan is known for her brute power with which she clears boundaries with ease, but she surprised Royal Challengers Bengaluru during the WPL match in Navi Mumbai. The Mumbai Indians batter responded to Arundhati Reddy’s slower bouncer ploy with an unbelievable hit over the keeper.

After being put into bat in the first match of the Women’s Premier League against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mumbai Indians had a slow start getting 34/1 in their powerplay. Things went further south with the experienced duo of Nat Sciver-Brunt and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur also departing to see the side tottering at 67/4 after 11 overs.

But Sajana Sajeevan, who was living a charmed life with two reprieves early on in her innings, made RCB pay for their mistake. With a six and four off Radha Yadav, she was in the mood for some big hitting as Arundhati Reddy tried to bring her down with a slower bouncer.

But the batter was ready for that too as she pulled out an unbelievable shot over the wicketkeeper’s head to add another four runs to her and the team’s tally. With the medium pacer pitching the ball way short and rolling her arms, the ball looked like going above Sajana’s head.

But the batter from Kerala made full use of that by mixing the pull and the scoop shot together. She met the ball right beside her head with the ball racing to the boundary to leave Arundhati out of ideas.

Twitter was in awe of the batter who showed that she had the brains to go with the brawn as well, with the fielders remaining unmoved.
