India only lost two wickets on the final day of the two-match Test series against the West Indies, at Arun Jaitley Stadium, enroute to a seven-wicket win. KL Rahul brought up a fifty to tick off the 121-run target, even as Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill failed to stay till the end.

With a mere 58 required on a still relatively good track for batting in Delhi, incumbent batters KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan showcased no hurry as they resumed their overnight stand of 54. The duo added just three runs across the first four overs before Rahul finally showed some intent by skipping down the track and lofting Jomel Warrican for a boundary. After another brief lull, the opener took to to the skies again with Khary Pierre the victim on this occassion as he launched a six and four to take India within 39 runs of victory.

However, the visitors struck back the very next over with the wicket of Sudharsan courtesy a brilliant diving one-handed take from Shai Hope at slip, bringing skipper Shubman Gill to the crease. Like Rahul, the youngster took a few balls to get an eye in but as soon as the former slog swept Warrican for yet another six, Gill joined the party by taking Roston Chase for 10 runs in three deliveries. However, he ended up playing a shot too many and skied one the very same over, missing out on the opportunity to stay till the end with just 13 runs needed. Nevertheless, Rahul soon after brought a 20th Test half-century and fittingly scored the winnings runs in the off Warrican in the 36th over to seal victory by seven wickets.
