Batters hate to get run out when they are in fine nick, and Yashasvi Jaiswal was heartbroken during the second Test against the West Indies in Delhi. The Indian opener was well on course for his third double hundred at the start of day two before a horrendous mix-up with Shubman Gill proved costly.
After dominating day one of the second Test against the West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, India stepped on to the field to bat the visitors out of the contest. Overnight batter Yashasvi Jaiswal started at 173 and was sitting pretty for his third double century in his young Test career. Meanwhile, captain Shubman Gill was looking solid on 20 at the other end.
But after Gill’s boundary in the first over of the day, disaster struck in the next, leaving Jaiswal heartbroken. After driving a full-length delivery outside off from Jayden Seales, the southpaw immediately started off for a quick single.
But Gill did not see the young opener charging as he was busy watching the ball into the hands of the fielder. Tagenarine Chanderpaul was quick at mid-off as he moved towards his right to hurl a throw to the wicketkeeper’s end.
Jaiswal was almost near his captain, but Gill’s response never came, and the opener had to take a U-turn. However, it was too late as the rushing Tevin Imlach collected the ball and whipped off the bails all in one motion.
Jaiswal was nowhere in the frame when the stumps were broken, and he was visibly disappointed. He kept tapping his helmet in frustration and even complained to his skipper that it was his call.
Twitter was equally devastated, as there was no other way the Windies could get the young opener out. Jaiswal stood in the middle for a long time as he came to terms with what had happened before taking the long walk back.

Mindless Running!
Mindless running from Jaiswal after hitting straight to fielder resulting in run out.

He did the same thing in Melbourne too when he was batting with Virat Kohli.
Bottled an easy 100 there & now a 200 here

Recently Replaced Rohit Sharma as ODI captain by failing in knockouts and doing yes sir yes sir to Gautam Gambhir.
Today his insecurities reached a level where he stolen a deserving 200 from Yashasvi Jaiswal by making him runout.

Oh!
Someone need to talk to Yashasvi Jaiswal over this ridiculous way of getting runout so often. From BGT to WI, from Virat to Gill, Jaiswal is the only constant.

Misjudged Run
Don't give hate to Shubman Gill unnecessary for this runout. Below is my assessment of Jaiswal's runout.

I watched it now so I can tell you with 200% conviction that it was Yashasvi Jaiswal's fault. He has this bad habit of running after hitting direct into the hands of fielder…
