Tim David has been synonymous with big hits in the shortest form of the game and the Australian batter came to the fore again during the third T20I against India in Hobart. He launched Axar Patel for a massive 129 metre six down the ground as the ball hit the top roof before making its way back in.

‌Trailing the five-match series 1-0, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav opted to bowl in the third T20I at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on Sunday. It gave instant rewards as the home side was reduced to 14/2 inside three overs with Arshdeep Singh striking twice.

But Tim David had other plans as he started off his innings with a four off pacer Arshdeep Singh. He took on Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy as well as Australia reached 43/2 at the end of the powerplay.

The Australian batter welcomed Axar Patel into the attack with a six, over cover, in just the third ball of his spell. What followed was truly special as he pummelled the bowler into submission with a monster hit down the ground, a ball later.

Tossing the ball up on a length, the ball went into the big-hitting batter after pitching on a good length. David just cleared his front foot before swinging the willow with all his might, with the ball making contact with the meaty part of the bat.

Unsurprisingly, the Kookaburra flew after hitting the bat before landing on the roof straight down the ground. After hitting the roof, the ball returned to hit the sight screen before rolling its way back near the boundary.

With wind also aiding him, the ball travelled a whopping 129 metres as shown during the broadcast as Axar Patel and Team India watched in disbelief.

Twitter was in awe of David’s big-hitting as the ball travelled an eternity before landing back on the ground.
