It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Dhoni’s stumping — something the world epitomises with his wicketkeeping skills. Something similar unfolded at Eden Gardens when Kolkata Knight Riders faced Chennai Super Kings, and the crowd was enthralled by Dhoni’s lightning stumping of a lazy Sunil Narine.

‌Chennai Super Kings faced off against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, where home captain Ajinkya Rahane chose to bat first on a batting-friendly pitch. KKR had an early setback, losing opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz in the second over. However, Sunil Narine and Rahane steadied the innings, pushing the score to 67/1 by the end of the powerplay. The momentum shifted in favour of CSK when Narine was dismissed in the eighth over.

On the first ball of the eighth over, Noor Ahmed bowled a googly from over the wicket, targeting middle and leg. Sunil Narine advanced down the pitch, attempting a cross-batted shot but missed it as the ball deflected between his legs and rolled to MS Dhoni. Showing sharp reflexes, Dhoni quickly collected it and broke the stumps. Narine was slow to respond, and he couldn’t get his bat back. The square-leg umpire referred the decision, and the big screen confirmed him out, triggering loud cheers from CSK fans. Social media buzzed with praise for Dhoni’s lightning-fast stumping.

Great one from Dhoni!

What?

Hahaha!

Narine couldn't make it back!

Yeah!

He's Legend!

That was unexpected!

Hahaha!
