Partnerships in cricket are often celebrated for building innings, but sometimes, they create magic in the field too. In the clash between Hyderabad and Gujarat, Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj combined brilliantly near the boundary ropes to pull off a stunning effort that left everyone in awe.

‌It was Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler’s half-centuries that pushed the Gujarat Titans to 224/6 in 20 overs. In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head began the fireworks and put up 45/0 in four overs. However, Prasidh Krishna broke the opening stand and scalped the Aussie opener in the fifth over. However, Abhishek Sharma continued his amazing form, but it was Mohammad Siraj and Shubman who stole the spotlight.

On the fifth ball of the eighth over, Gujarat’s debutant dished a good length ball outside the off stump to the southpaw. Additionally, Abhishek cleared his front leg and smashed it high in the air over mid-off. Meanwhile, Siraj chased the ball from the mid-off position into the outfield and pushed the ball back from the rope. Although due to the speed, the ball was almost touching the rope and that’s when Gill ran into it and dived and dragged it back. The combined effort helped the Titans save one run and sent the Twitterverse into a frenzy.
