Many players have made their debut at a young age, but Vaibhav Suryavanshi's entry into IPL at just 14 grabbed major headlines. The Bihar batter debuted for Rajasthan Royals in the match against Lucknow Super Giants and instantly made waves by smashing a six off his very first delivery.

‌Rishabh Pant chose to bat after winning the toss, but the innings got off to a wobbly start with early dismissals of Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran. Aiden Markram and Ayush Badoni steadied the ship with a crucial 62-run partnership, both notching up half-centuries before Markram departed in the 16th over. Abdul Samad then provided a late flourish, smashing an unbeaten 30 off just 10 balls to power Lucknow to a competitive 174/5.

In response, Rajasthan got off to a flying start, thanks to a sensational debut from 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavansi. On just the fourth ball of the innings, he backed away to a good-length delivery from Shardul Thakur, got to the pitch, and launched it over extra cover for a towering 80-meter six. The audacity and elegance of the shot sent shockwaves through social media, with fans hailing the youngster’s fearless arrival on the IPL stage.
