While cricketers warming up with footballs have become a common sight on cricket fields, Jitesh Sharma decided to add another nuance of the sport to cricket. The RCB keeper decided to ‘tackle’ his teammate which ended up injuring Dayal and giving Suryakumar Yadav another life.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru decided to show their batting prowess at the Wankhede has they piled on an impressive 221 in the first innings. In reply, Mumbai lost two early wickets in the form of Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickleton as the visitors took complete control proceedings. However, with Suryakumar Yadav at the crease, the Mumbai faithful were certain they were still in the game, especially after Krunal Pandya dropped the gun batter in the 11th over.

However, SKY’s innings appeared to have come to a swift end in the next over when the Mumbai man decided to take on Yash Dayal. The bowler bowled a back of the hand slower delivery with SKY going for a big heave. The ball went straight into the air and Jitesh Sharma immediately came running for the catch. However, with Dayal under it, he caught the ball only to be clashed into by his keeper as the ball hit the ground. Not only was the chance lost but the bowler needed some medical assistance before he could complete the over.

The Twitterati were not pleased with the effort and made their feelings clear on social media.
