Celebrations play a key role in cricket, especially during trophy wins. This was evident in the Caribbean Premier League final, where Guyana triumphed over Saint Lucia and Faf du Plessis' team to secure the title, and he was seen heralding a style reminiscent of Rohit Sharma’s World Cup festivity.

‌The month-and-a-half cricketing spectacle in the West Indies ended with the CPL Finals in Guyana, where Saint Lucia faced the home team. Saint Lucia won the toss and chose to bowl first, which worked in their favour. Guyana's batters struggled, with none scoring more than 30 runs. Noor Ahmed’s three-wicket haul limited them to 138/8 in 20 overs.

Saint Lucia's chase started with a solid opening partnership between Faf du Plessis and Johnson Charles. Despite a middle-order stumble, contributions from Ackeem Auguste and Tim Seifert helped. Roston Chase’s 39 and Aaron Jones' quickfire 48 off 31 balls sealed the win. Imran Tahir bowled a wide in the 19th over with one run needed, triggering celebrations as Saint Lucia won the title. The dugout burst into joy with Chase throwing fist pumps into the air.

As the celebrations reached their peak, Faf stepped forward to receive the much-coveted CPL trophy. The Proteas legend, known for his calm demeanour and leadership on the field, couldn’t resist adding a playful twist to the moment. In a lighthearted gesture, he mimicked Rohit Sharma's famous celebration from the ICC World T20 Final in June. With a cheeky grin, Faf deliberately wobbled as he made his way toward his jubilant teammates, imitating the theatrical walk that Rohit had showcased earlier in the year.

Oh Faf! laughing
