IPL 2024 | Twitter in splits as furry intruder intervenes western derby halting game in play

‌There have been many cases of interruptions recorded on live sporting events, and it is subjective to the Indian Premier League as well. This time, it was a dog that was seen wandering around the Narendra Modi Stadium, restricting Hardik Pandya from continuing with his bowling on Sunday.

Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans squared off against each other on a doubleheader Sunday with Hardik Pandya sending his former franchise to bat first in their respective curtain raiser. While the game saw a good amount of twists and turns throughout the first innings, a moment that caught everyone’s attention was a dog that interrupted captain Hardik from completing his third over.
With the score reading 114/3 in 14 overs and a well-set Sai Sudharsan accompanied by David Miller, Hardik summoned himself with the ball for his third over. Following six runs off the first three deliveries, Hardik and the contest was interrupted by a playful dog that sprinted around the cricket field. For once, it even came near the MI skipper who tried to call the canine, but it repelled towards the other side, causing a halt in the play.
The Twitterverse closely followed this western derby and could not shy away from opining on this incident.

Tiger ignores hardik!
