Winning and losing are a part of life but showing support to the losing side shows great intent and character. Such was the noble gesture with the Indian fans who lauded the South African team as they departed the Barbados stadium, following their seven-run loss to India in the T20 World Cup Final.

Team India and its fans at Barbados were on their feet with joy as Hardik Pandya bowled the final ball to Anrich Nortje. The Proteas needed nine runs off that last delivery, but the stadium erupted as India successfully defended their total winning by seven runs. Emotions ran high and tears flowed as the Indian team celebrated lifting the silverware after a 17-year wait. However, amidst the Indian jubilation, there was a tearful scene for the Proteas who had fought valiantly but fell short. South African stalwarts like Quinton de Kock, Heinrich Klaasen, and David Miller were seen in tears with their hopes dashed.

Despite their celebrations, Indian fans displayed immense respect as the South African team exited the stadium. After rejoicing the Men in Blue's victory, the Indian supporters strolled off the ground for a different purpose. As the men in green and gold walked back to their team bus, dejected and disappointed, Indian fans applauded and cheered them for their fight and courage shown in the game. The video of this touching gesture quickly went viral, with the Twitterverse lauding the Indian fans for their sportsmanship after South Africa's heartbreaking loss.
