Injuries are part of the game, and we have to accept that and move on with the best resources possible. Such was the scene in the Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans clash in Lucknow where Mayank Yadav was seen leaving the ground due to an injury after bowling one over.

‌Lucknow pace sensation Mayank Yadav had to retire from the field due to a side strain after bowling just one over for Lucknow Super Giants in their IPL match against Gujarat Titans. Chasing 164 for victory, Gujarat had reached 22-0 in three overs when Mayank was summoned into the attack. Despite previously clocking 150 kph-plus in his first over earlier this season against Punjab Kings, Mayank's pace was noticeably diminished in the only over he bowled against the Titans, bowling around late 130-140 kmph range.

The young speedster made his IPL debut this season and has already showcased a promising performance with six wickets in two matches, putting him in contention for the prestigious purple cap. The 21-year-old grabbed attention with a lightning-fast delivery clocking 155.8 kmph in his debut match against Punjab Kings and was in the spotlight by improving his speed record to 156.7 kmph in the subsequent game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

However, in a sigh of relief to the Super Giants, Krunal Pandya hinted that the bowler may be fine, courtesy of the physio's attention.

The Twitterverse was quick to react to his development and took to social media to discuss LSG’s fresh injury scare.
