VIDEO | Virat Kohli almost falls down laughing after Jasprit Bumrah finishes things by hitting six off Pat Cummins

One of the joys of watching a game of cricket is to see a bowler hitting a clear six or a batsman finding himself among the wickets. When Jasprit Bumrah managed to hit Pat Cummins for a six on the last ball of the innings, Virat Kohli was so surprised that he almost fell off from the chair laughing.

With India being at 193/0, 400 seemed very much possible and it was all up to the middle-order to take the team to that score successfully. After Virat Kohli and KL Rahul’s failure, everyone believed Rishabh Pant would be the man, but one hardly thought that Jasprit Bumrah would hit a six to end the innings on a high.

After Yuzvendra Chahal was dismissed on the penultimate delivery of the over, Jasprit Bumrah came to the field just to face the last delivery and end the formality. However, there is an old belief that whenever you don’t have anything to lose, you do everything which you would’ve never imagined. It is safe to say that Bumrah was in that zone.

With the fielders stationing inside the circle, Cummins bowled a full ball on his legs, but Bumrah swung his bat hard. Surprisingly, the ball connected really well with the bat and it flew easily over long-on for a six. Seeing that, Kohli couldn’t control himself and was dancing in joy like a kid does when he sees his favourite cartoon character kills the antagonist. It was a genuine leap of joy, by the entire side, after seeing their premier bowler doing something with the bat that they had struggled to do.
