There could be a book written on Chris Gayle, no, not for his exploits on the field but on the antics he does on and off it. The big man dived to dismiss Rahmat Shah in the high-voltage run chase between Afghanistan and West Indies but what followed after made the day for his fans.

After posting a challenging total on the board, West Indies were struggling to strike regularly with the ball. Rahmat Shah and Ikram Ali Khil were stitching a match-winning partnership and taking the game away from West Indies. Their bowlers needed to break this partnership and just when things were getting tight, Chris Gayle cupped a fantastic catch off Carlos Brathwaite’s bowling to provide the breakthrough.

On the second delivery of the 27th over, Rahmat was beaten by the change in pace and ended up edging a delivery towards Chris Gayle at cover. The Caribbean giant dived forward and grabbed the ball with ease but refused to get up. He was soon joined by the bowler and the duo started doing push-ups to celebrate the wicket.

The moment won the hearts of many will certainly make it to the highlights reel. With this wicket, the match opened up once again and it will be interesting to see who ends up on the winning side.
