Zaheer Khan has confirmed that Rohit Sharma is available for selection for Mumbai Indians' next game against RCB to be played on Saturday. A leg spasm had compelled the Mumbai Indians skipper to sit out as Kieron Pollard was appointed as the stand-in skipper in the game against Kings XI Punjab.

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has successfully recovered from leg spasm and is now available for selection for their encounter against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday confirmed Zaheer Khan. The former Indian pacer is now serving as Mumbai Indians Director of Cricket Operations.

Rohit Sharma has been a regular player in the IPL and missed his first game in 11 seasons when he was ruled out against Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday. He sustained a leg spasm during a training session and has now recovered successfully.

“He is definitely available for selection and he is very confident, so that is a very positive sign right now for us,” Zaheer Khan confirmed to PTI.

Mumbai Indians are currently placed third in the points table with four wins in six games. Pollard led the side from the front in the absence of Rohit and the latter’s inclusion will only bolster the side. Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday.
