Report: Dwayne Smith announces international retirement

West Indies cricketer Dwayne Smith has announced his retirement from international cricket ahead of Islamabad United’s second Qualifying Final against Karachi Kings in the PSL in the UAE, according to reports. The 33-year-old has not played international cricket in the last two years.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Smith has announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket. The aggressive opener turns out for Islamabad United in the PSL and Gujarat Lions in the IPL.
Smith has played 10 Tests, 105 ODIs and 33 T20Is. The Barbados-born became a T20 specialist in the later part of his career, and has scored only one century across formats in international cricket.
Smith was part of two World Cups, although, after the embarrassing early exit from the 2007 edition, he spent nearly three years in the sidelines before making a comeback in 2010. His last appearance for West Indies was in March 2015 in a World Cup match against UAE.
Smith has featured for Mumbai Indians, Deccan Chargers, Chennai Super Kings, and Gujarat Lions in the IPL and has been a regular in the Big Bash League and the Caribbean Premier League.
